Another model which is sitting in the show case here, the Flying Tank Shift from the Perry Rhodan series.

Perry Rhodan is a German Sf-Series published since September 1961 with one novel per week, telling a continues story which started with a first landing on the moon in 1971. The current volume is 2650+.
Among several small, big and bigger  ;D spaceships (some were released as Revell models) a lot of other vehicles populate this Sf-universe.

One of them is the Shift, a flying tank which is used by landing troops. As the series started in 1961, the design of various spacecraft at that time were very 60s-style. Like the Shift, but I liked it. "Modern" versions as they are used in current issues of the series look much different.

The model:
The chasis of the Shift was made from a Revell 1/72 Leopard II. The wings are made from plastic sheets, the fuselage is made from a pastic frame covered with paper. The engines at the back are made from a straw, all other details were taken from the spare part box. The transparent dome was formed using a transparent pastic sheet and a hot bulb.

Some additional (old) pics, showing the Shift in its natural terrain....

I have heard of Perry Rhodan here in the US, but it hasn't made any cultural penetration here.
However, that model makes me more interested in the series.
In want of hobby space!  The kitchen table is never stable.  Still managing to get some building done.
