Convair FY-2 Delta Dash in 1/48

Late entry!!!! I got myself a Lindberg 1/48 Pogo as an early birthday present and started it on Sunday, when I realised that as it's Navy it can be entered into the GB! Woo!

The cockpit has a very small opening, which I expanded - original on the left.

OOB you get a seat and a pilot shape. I've binned both and assembled a new one! Random seat from spares, a Revell-Monogram P-51 tub and panel (cut down), R-M P-39 stick, and extra side panels. I also added some blanking plates to the nose intake thingy.

4pm Wednesday 10 August. About to apply red tip stripes to the props!

The only hitch is whether the new tip tanks arrive by deadline. I hope they do, my recent postal experiences have been very favourable. Backstory is done and will be posted with the completed build

Thanks Cap! There's a ton of space for improvement in a lot of areas but I'm being careful not to go overboard.

Lots of white - four+ coats - only the first of grey. I will be doing a lighter colour.

I doubt I'd have got the 1/72 option for anywhere close to this price!

I've got a 72nd one in the stash somewhere. I t was a big idea I had for Vietnam launched form support M113s.
