Thanks folks.

I did a spot of rummaging through my boxes of aircraft weapons today and have selected as a load for this a pair of SUU-14 dispensers (Academy Dragonfly - used by the PDRV Republican Police to dispense tear gas and other crowd control munitions), a nose mounted camera (Italeri/Tamiya Huey - I might add a spotlight to this) and the streamlined winch housing from one of those towed target setups Hasegawa put in the missiles weapons pack and which you very rarely see used.  I'll turn the winch housing into an ECM pod type thingo.

Still needs the payload.  But while I had Dadswell Bridge Field set up...

Verry good. The Huey fuselage seems made on purpose for some dragonfly-style flying thing.
Owing to the current financial difficulties, the light at the end of the tunnel will be turned off until further notice.

That's because it IS a dragonfly-style flying thing......  ;D ;)
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

Finished attaching the payload so this is basically completed.  I just need to take pics and finish writing some words.

zenrat industries zi 223 Javelina; People's Democratic Republic of Victoria Republican Police Central Division Special Operations Group, Geelong.

zi 223 Javelina RePo 02 by Fred Maillardet, on Flickr

Intended as a replacement for the zi 189 Frogmouth the zi 223 was based around Huey UH-1 airframes extensively retro engineered by zenrat industries at their Willow Creek facility up in the rolling hills of Gippsland cattle country.  It soon became apparent that it was unsuitable for this role due to its inability to maintain a controlled stationary hover and the fact that it was very noisy.  It wasn't however rejected outright as being able to execute vertical takeoffs & ultra short landings (VTOUSL) and fly real slow it was the perfect aircraft for urban rapid response, riot control and traffic interdiction.

Named Javelina (a species of Peccary found in Arizona) by zi as a nod towards major sub-contractor Javelin Engineering (a wholly owned subsidiary of zenrat industries) the 223 was powered by a pair of VEF AA34 Turbofans carried on the ends of a high mounted wing.  The entire wing could pivot, on a transverse horizontal axis, through 85 degrees and carried four hardpoints.

Flown by a crew of two, up to eight fully armed police officers could be carried in the rear for rapid deployment on the ground.  Alternatively a team of six could be deployed with a pair of additional crewmen manning a range of door-mounted "non-lethal" weapons including, but not limited to, sonic oscillators, ULF pulse cannon, targeted fracture inducers, stroke guns and sandbag rail gatlings.

The Javelina proved popular with the Repos who found its ability to operate from a football oval, car park or school playground most usefull when enforcing law and order.  It also found favour with the Secret State Police who found these same abilities usefull but for different purposes.  A proposed military version was rejected due to misgivings regarding its single engine performance.

The aircraft pictured is one of five assigned to the Geelong Special Operations Group Air Wing.  It is shown equipped with a multi spectrum nose camera, cluster munition dispensers and a comms jamming pod.  This aircraft was lost in a landing incident at the Citation Oval in the Mornington Archipelago during what should have been a routine arrest and extract operation.

Good model yes.
The twin-boom one in the background (Fw189?) interests me too, maybe I will look again in the previous pages to see it, sorry I think I have missed it.
