Could the MLG bays pop out somewhat like a F-18 and have it situated between the front and read fins of the outboard Slammers?

Weaver

Wow - not scared of the razor saw are you?  ;D

Fascinating to watch.....

MLG could be in the side of the fuselage like the Mirage F-1, A-7 Cosair and S-3 Viking. Looks like there is enough room for intake trunking and a gear bay in the piccies. Very nice project BTW Duncan! I am also terrified of cutting up a nice kit! I've started buying extra's so the chopping up isn't quite as bad if I have an untouched kit still in the stash.

Looking good so far Duncan, for the cockpit tub i suspect the further fwd position and lower depth make many cockpits too wide or deep to fit,
try a Mirage III or posibly a SHAR for size.

See cutting up a kit aint that hard, it it goes wrong, its just a case of stick a bit back and add more putty, or it thingd really go pear shape replace the donor kit and use the experience to get it right the second time around. Most kits in this scale tend to be reasonibly priced, and afterall if the item being created is unkitted the finished model is virtually uniqiue when completed and thus worthy of the sacrifice.

QuoteJust ask Geoff (Thorvic) he's always having to apply well timed KUTA's to get me to move my scratchbuilds forwards, many a modelling session I can see him looking at me as I sit there, kit part in one hand and razor saw in the other, with a look on his face that says "JUST CUT THE F&$%ING THING!"

Yeap one of the last things i said to him yesterday on MSN after discussing the donor kit possibilities was "So get sawing !!!", unfortunately he went modelling Huey's in the thone room instead
