Saw it in Air Forces Monthly and hope Airfix will repop the Tucano in these colours. I keep getting outbid on ebay with the earlier issues!

Driving up the M6 toward Carlisle on Friday that actual Tucano (or the other one, there being two apparently...) came batting up the Lune Valley at some knots and quite low too. It's amazing just how much it looks like a Spitfire when it's airborne. I bet the performance isn't that much different either.

I like this much better than the Hawk.

But, does it still have the 8 x .303s in the wings or something a little heavier hitting?

They are until the Boeing Airseaker Mk 1 enters service .................Yes that is to be the official British name for the Rivet Joint! As confirmed by a reliable IPMS Brampton/RAF officer source at Hendon yesterday. You would have thought they would have come up with a better name?

Think I saw them about a week ago, there were four Tucano's above York Uni (close to Linton-on-Ouse), the lead two were definately not in the standard trainer black.  Couldn't make out the details, but it's likely it was this pair.
I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

At this rate Waddington will look like Heathrow in the 60s, everything in sight a Boeing.

I wouldn't mind so much but the Rivet Joints are OLDER than the R1s so why change?
