Title: Turbocorsair
Post by: Atlantis on December 12, 2009, 03:22:36 PM
This build was heavily influenced by Ed S's Turboprop Corsair build, which was wicked awesome by the way. However, I built mine in my prefered medium of paper. It is a kitbash consisting of the Fiddlersgreen Corsair as the base kit, a prop spinner from the FG Mustang, the tip tanks are from the FG F-84 Thunderflash, and most of the nose is from David Case's Pondracer kit. I may send a revised version on the pattern to  Fiddlersgreen to see if they could include it with their Corsair download package. Finally, I added some detail with a metallic sharpy marker.

Turbo prop Cosair, Way cool.  And nicely done.  I've played with some paper/cardstock models and found it isn't as easy as some people might suppose.  Good work.

Could you add a photograph of its profile to appreciate the elegant new lines?

That is tight!

But now I'm having visions of a 1/48 kit converted like that, with SEA camo and a big load of ordinance on the wings. . .

Yes, yes, SEA camo on a turbo-Corsair-----seems so natural.
Great paper model, Atlantis!
