Ok ive got a mad plan goin in my head for my 1:48th Airfix kit.. But i need some help...
Although there was many plans for sexy clever pieces of kit to service and refuel TSR2 more than likely more conventional Ground Refuelers would have been used... Thing is i cant find anything since circa1940 in 1:48th.. Lots of Bedfords Matadors even new osh kosh's in other scales but 1:48th i seem to be buggered...
Any ideas guys ?
bit of an odd scale for that sort of stuff.........i can think of stuff in 1/43.............heller used to do trucks that could be modified into tankers.
I might need stuff to hide cables coming out of the model.... ;D
Try Accurate Armour

These three items being possible items you could use. Probably only good for use with prototype TSR's as the tankers listed above would have been rather old by the mid 60's.
Hope they are of some help though.
Gondor
although, not the right scale or period....
one of these painted up would look good in a TSR "retro-future" dio ?

(a google search for 'BP Autotanker' brings up plenty of pics)

Yes gondor them three were all i could find, i was hoping that the guys here might have some more up to date solutions but i might have to head there...
I can't think of much to help you I'm afraid. 1/48 armour, although getting more popular, is still a bit of an emerging subject & most of it is WWII. Maybe you could take the tank from one of the WWII sets like the Italeri Tankwagen & scab it onto something more modern?
