I had read the Flypast Reference Library book on the many designs of the Hawker Aeroplane Company. I was struck by the number of similar designs that seemed to be variations on a theme. Inspiration struck for a cross-kitted build, using some odds-and-ends that were gathering dust in the stash. I had the wings and inter-plane struts and tail unit from an Airfix Hawker Demon that was unbuildable, due to a severely short-shot fuselage half. I had the remains of a Matchbox Fury that I used the wings for another project. I fiddled around and this is what happened. I named it the Hybrid, for obvious reasons. I applied a Fleet Air Arm Silver-wings style paint-job and added decals from the scrap-box. The model is hand-brushed Humbrol and Xtracolor paints. The model is unrigged because rigging beyond my skill level due to being somewhat ham-fisted. It looks fine next to the Airfix Demon and Matchbox Fury. Adios, Larry.

A true thing of beauty! The best use of two 'left over' kits I have seen in a while.
Looks good
