Always a good starting point. ;D
More than 5 Meter added in 1:1 , i think around 18 feet ?
IMG_20240803_161245.jpg
Perfect, much better than standard. ;D
That's just what I've done with mine too, but a little differently............
You are welcome to show me your suggestion  , No problem .
While I've mentioned it on numerous occasions on here, I've yet to post a built thread for it. :banghead:
I ought to get on with it and do so, if only to put it in for the Shelf Queen GB. !
These two pieces will become the jet engine ( 2x ) .

Complete Mockup in the morning.
IMG_20240804_123539.jpg
Nearly complete, some parts of the engines are still missing, maybe they should be a little bit shorter in fact.
I want to build the new engines from the droptank and a rocket, sanded down to fit exactly inside the nacelle. Looks fine ...

IMG_20240804_160700424.jpg
...to be continued.
I LOVE it! ;D
Now the main work on the engines is done, i cut the tip of the rocket and placed it reverse , sanded the corners smooth and round , ready for the first color. But i think the landing gear could be added to the downside of the nacelle. Maybe tomorrow.

Wild !
decided to sand the complete skin of the kit, and later use only Aquarell technique for the color = multiple different washings , to keep the original three colors of Matchbox kits.
IMG_20240812_213346.jpg
That'll be different for sure. ;D
Oh, thank you very much, what did you mean, the color concept or the construction?
Only the engines need some new basic paint, i got only two different versions of the tanks.
And no real good idea for some landing gear

Both. ;D
Very rarely did 'serious' modellers leave M'box kits unpainted and left in their original colours.
THAT's retro!
Hahaha !
WHO is serious ????

We're ALL serious modellers here, seriously CRAZY! ;D ;)
Today i did the decal job, after a first coat with clear glossy, and finished it . Also the other race project got the basic color, all in one Go.

This is fascinating
And went forward with clear mat finish over the decals, that works very well. Just some effect paint and a small washing coming next week.

Ah yes, the lunacy is far more apparent now! 👍
That's looking VERY promising! The engines are SUPERB!
And today at the club meeting the three parts came together, and also the engines are done.
It flys !

Sci-fi & old tech mix !
Gorgeous.
I imagine this thing trundling along with two huge black smoke trails behind it and sounding like 2 giant blue bottle flies inside a didgeridoo.

There is an air raid scene but having only caught snippets of the film I've no idea when in the film, but I do vaguely recall it featuring lumbering dark-coloured aircraft (models, of course, possibly 2D flats) with white serials under the wings.
Yesterday i took the main wheels in its place and did some effect painting . Only the crew and the weapons need to be done ..

It does and I really do wish I'd not canned my own such project and sold on the part-build I'd bought specifically for the purpose.
Perhaps the plan may be resurrected in the future.
I should get on with mine too, but I doubt it'll be as revolutionary as Killnoizer's.

Mine definitely won't be. It's scheduled to be a single engined Wellesley analogue/predecessor.
That's scary... ;D
Using Campini's engines it's period correct!

If the crew are sitting out in the air they'll be extremely windswept and deaf... I said DEAF!!!
Must be very fuel economic or have a short range....
No bomb bay so must be a recon bird.
Looks cool
This must be finished in 3 weeks for the club Exhibition
Just painted the crew the simple way, white primer and a washing in dark grey, a bit flesh for the face and that's it ... Sanding the figures need more time than the color.
