Title: Model miniature ERC 90
Post by: chrisonord on September 19, 2024, 01:44:30 PM
This is the resin 1/72nd scale kit, and not a great one to be honest. I had to do some wiffy mods due to parts being not fit for purpose,  ie the main gun is noe from an M1 Abrams, and the pintle gun is from the spares box. The kit needed a bit of work, as it had lots of pin holes in places you had to be really careful with, like on the rear edge of the turret, and on the front around the lights. The vehicle is in service with the Honduras army, and I built it as I needed a change from copious mirages and the Kawasaki Impulse I have been building. I also have one of their AMX-10P kits and that isn't great either. The kits have no instructions, and the  companies site doesn't have any either, so good job there is plenty of pictures. I think I shall weather the ERC 90 some more too.

That's cool Chris and I do like the firepower upgrade 😀
I'll bet it's a soft recoil version of the M256 120mm gun  ;)

The original gun is longer, and has similar girth too.

Here is a picture of my ACE ERC 90, with the standard gun on,  as you can see, its a big gun still.

You'll find that the main gun on the ERC 90 is actually wrong Chris ..it's only  4.68mtrs long where the M256 is 5.3mtrs long ..and those are barrel lenghts not overall.
Take a looksie at a side profile of a RW ERC 90 and you'll see what I mean 😅

I see, so a wiff all the same. Cheers Chris, after I had finished it, I realised that is was a very similar scheme to what I put on my Cartel armour, my wiff Honduras enemy. Be reet.

Cheers,
I put the Ace one next to the model miniature one, and the ACE one is quite a bit smaller. I would say that the ACE one is out of scale, as the Model Miniature one is a French company, so you would have thought they would get it right. Maybe.
