I know this was discussed recently, but I can't find the post. We dicussed having a laptop with a slideshow of lots of our creations, because there is only so much room on the show table for actual models. Perhaps easier than a slideshow would be a movie. The minimum amount of time between slides in Windows, at least that I can configure, is a full minute, obviously far too long. But with the movie editing program I use it can be any length. So I've just thrown together this quick 2 minute video of some of mine, and have a look and see if it seems reasonable. The length of each slide is 5 seconds, which seems adequate to me. Please try to watch the entire 2 minutes, as that will give you a better sense of whether it's a decent experience. If it seems good, I would be willing to accept photos from anyone that can then be put together for all of us. I haven't used fancy transitions between each slide, the time it takes to do that is beyond my patience.
The other thing we discussed is how long a laptop could play before the battery snuffs it. There are external batteries available that would give a much longer time, using one would be at the discretion of whoever wants to provide one.

A tablet would be another option as a display device, it would also take up less space.

Yes, and probably consume a lot less power.

A silly idea but.....
How about a sign next to the tablet saying, "Shows between X & Y, Matinees on both Saturday and Sunday"? ;D

Many moons ago we had a ring binder with lots of photos of models that couldn't make it to the show, I still have it, and I think it was looked at twice whilst I was behind the stand.
A "slide show" would certainly be easier for people to look and would possibly get more attention, but there are practical issues that would need to be sorted.
As for timing between "slides" ? If I start my holiday snaps up as a slide show on my Microsoft "One Drive" then the timing between them is no more then 10 seconds.
* There is something in the back of my brain that says "we've tried this at a show" but it may just be me confusing the discussion we certainly had and the actual doing of it.

Lollies and soft drinks from the concession stand...
Only if there are Tim-Tams.
knowing our luck all they would have is Albatross <_<
Sounds like a good idea. The bigger the screen the better as far as attracting people's attention.

That would be one of the practical problems. You might find that Health & Safety get involved.
