Title: last from the files part 1
Post by: Brian da Basher on November 14, 2005, 09:27:46 PM
Here's my 1/72 Russian Deperdissun-Morane monoplane. This was the mount of the ace Major Ivan A. Vodka of the Near-Death's Head squadron. When his .80 cal. Hotchkiss Elephant gun would jam, he was famous for skewering his foes on his skis. The wings are from the Williams' Bros. Douglas World Cruiser and the fuse and tailfeathers are from the venerable Airfix SPAD VII. The tailskid is really an anchor from the Douglas World Cruiser kit. The intimidating .80 cal. Hotchkiss Elephant gun is built from spare landing gear. The prop is from the Airfix Bristol Bulldog kit. The skis are from my spare parts collection and the rigging is courtesy of my sewing box. The rudder stripes are hand-painted. I hope you enjoy or at least get a good chuckle from this one.
