Okay, here goes: Airfix GB entry #1

1:72 Dominie modified as follows:
- replace aft fuselage-mounted jet engines with wing-mounted turboprops;
- lengthen fuselage both fore and aft of the wingroot (have to get the cabin entrance a little farther ahead of the deadly prop and might have a second hatch at the rear too);
- might have to enlarge the wings to keep up with the fuselage stretch;
- Might alter the tail into a less swept, genuine T-Tail

I'm modifying inverted engines from an Airfix P-38 Lightning.
The part that worries me the most is the fuselage stretch because of the tapers and the compound curves involved around the flight deck and the wingroot.

Scheme/markings? No clue. Could be SEA camo USAF or British Airways at this point. Or Swedish.

I have until June, right? 2006?

First mock-up to see just how much trouble I'll be in re: matching up shapes and general cross-sections.

A LOT of trouble, I'd say.

Will also re-work some windows and one of the cabin doors.

I really like that Micro-Biz™ Mr Howling Mouse! You're gonna build one of them along with the Dominie II right?

Wow you are an incredibly brave man sir. I am awed at the cojones you demonstrate by taking on this project. I will watch its progress with rapt amazement.
