Interesting looking tool. Looks sharp ? Is it ?
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Yup, had no problem cutting with it. Great for small and delicate connictions between sprues and parts which is exactly why I bought it.

NARSES2, I have found out they are great for cutting the film you get in some kits for the instruments, and I managed to find the packet they came in.

Neilsen is the brand

Micro Scissors Straignt is the description

CT4305 is the part number/code

Most of the packet has a Red card backing with a Black top. There is a clear plastic cover over the whole of the front of the packet as there was a staple to stop the card from slideing out of the packet when I bought it.

I'm starting to find that I am biting off more than I can chew with my joining most group builds. Consequently I am withdrawing my current builds from the current Group Build. With my build rate I am finding that three months is not enough time for me to complete anything unless I am really motivated or I have a lot of free time, bring back lock-down
I still plan to join in one of the future Group Builds as I am quite keen to get one particular aircraft built that matches one of the future Group Builds, the rest of the time I shall still build lots of whiffs, but at my own pace and to my own interests.
Saying that I have, only once, entered and finished an entry in the One Week Group Build. But that took a lot of planning and thought to do so.

The exact same thing has been happening to me, that's why i haven't been joining the latest GBs... i've only managed to finish the Hunter for last year's GB today... :banghead:

NARSES2

That's not a problem at all. Indeed I often think one of the main purposes of GB's is simply to stimulate peoples imaginations. If models get finished fair enough, if they don't then no hassle, they are easily moved

That is true, both of my latest two builds were started as GB entries... Does make me think about that a bit more...

PR19_Kit

That happens to me ALL them time!

I amazed myself doing the Gloster Lance in the One Week Build in 2020, and winning it!
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Next to no modelling done over the last week or so other than research for the Washington B. Mk.2 I am thinking about. This lead me to what has become, a bit of blind ally as it were.  :-\  I was looking at armament for the Washington B. Mk.1 and found that it depends on the production batch if it had the 20mm cannon at the rear gunners position or not, but so far I have not been able to find out which B-29A's the RAF got  :banghead:

I have also come across a slight problem with the Leander/Rothesay builds I have, and that is that the Rothesay Type 12M has upper parts of the ship across the full beam below the bridge where as the Leander Type 12L does not. So I am a modeller so thats use knife and plastic card right! Well yes, but I need to know what to cut from where and what and how much do add where it's needed. Does anyone know of a nice cheap, or free, source of plans suitable for what I need?

Thanks but I already did that and got very confused over all the alternatives, I also think that a personal recommendation is better than a general search. Ta anyway

Another option I have is to buy a kit of a Rothesay Frigate and scale that to the 1/600 that the Airfix Leander ship is, but that as with everything else costs, pluss I would probably end up with a much larger version of the ship to build as well.

Managed to answer my own question about the Washington B Mk.1. I looked at photographs and found that some aircraft, because I have not seen pictures of each aircraft, are the A version without the 20mm cannon in the tail so they also have four 0.5's in the front upper turret. This change was made starting with the block 20 aircaft from what I have read.

I had started a thread on Britmodeller about the Leander and Rothesay frigate's but as the site appears to have been down since lunchtime I have no idea if there are any helpful answers to my questions  :banghead:

The information about the Type 12 frigates has been answered by Thorvic who contacted me off site and gave me the information that I need and where to find it. So I bought three book from ebay last night, a fourth I will be buying on Thursday, it's pay day that day and the other book is a bit more pricey, I will also be ordering some etch brass for to Leander ships as well.
Much thanks Throvic
