Quote from: McColm on April 18, 2023, 10:30:27 AMI have been browsing on the Freightdog Models website and came across the 1/72 H.P. Victor B.2 conversion set for the Matchbox/Revell kit. Will there be a reconnaissance camera pack available?
This could be similar to the Airfix Vickers Valiant camera pack.

Sorry, no plans for anything else for the old Matchbox Victor, the B.2 set pre-dates the Airfix kit and is just old stock I'm clearing out.
That's fine, I hope that you find more of your old stock especially the extended nose wheel for the Airfix BAC TSR.2.

Quote from: The Wooksta! on April 22, 2023, 04:59:51 AMI'd be very happy to see both Red Tops and Firestreaks back in stock.

Yes they will come back. These were cast by the late Phil Edwards from  Paul's masters, when he passed away the original masters were missing, so I need Paul to make a sub or new masters. Both popular so will definately re-release as soon as I can, along with the Radar Red Tops with Phantom launch shoe.

Quote from: Weaver on April 22, 2023, 03:29:10 AMNice one - fingers crossed for you.

Things I would 100% buy, probably in multiple packs:

Sabres
Blue Dolphins
SRAAM-100 twin launchers
AS.11s

Given that there were 600-odd thousand AS/SS.11s built and deployed on 30-odd platforms, it's remarkable how hard they are to get. For example, Air Graphics models seem to think it's worth having almost every conversion set imaginable for the old Airfix Westland Scout, but the one thing they don't do is the 4 x AS.11 fit. Likewise, I don't know of any aftermarket set to do the widely-used 4 x AS.11s on an Alouette III setup, and the heller Alouette III is very widely available. If you wanted to get into land-based stuff, nobody does a conversion for 4 x SS.11s on the AMX-13 tank in 1/72nd. Again, very well-know fit and widely available Heller model.

I would like to do the SRAAM-100 twin launchers, I will try and get ready for Scale Modelworld 2023. We decided to finish the resin Wasp complete kit and release in the ROTORCraft range, it was started over 10 years ago but dropped when I heard S & M were doing the injection kits. As these have never happened and the competition from Air Graphics is not very good, hopefully at Telford we will have a limited production run of this kit. There was an AS.11 master in there so will look at whether it can be finished off.

Excellent - thanks.

The normal missile for Wasp was AS.12 which is quite different and more redily available in kit form. However I believe it could also carry the AS.11 fit, and even if it didn't you should still go ahead with an AS.11 set as a conversion for the Airfix Scout (or your own resin Scout if you choose to do one based on the Wasp).

Personally I've got some white metal Seacats sat waiting for a Wasp kit to come along, in order to model the proposed Hellcat anti-small-ship fit shown in BSP 4 that lost out to AS.12.

Send one to me.  It's one of the kits I had as a kid that I want to have another bash at but can't get hold of at a price I want to pay.

Quote from: PR19_Kit on April 22, 2023, 10:28:36 AMI've still got an 'Alan Hall' conversion Wasp build sitting on my Display Shelf, that's the one which was supposed to use 4 Airfix Hudson kits just to provide the hubs for the whheels!  :o

Who has four Hudson kits just lying around doing nothing, and what do you do with what's left of them afterwards?  :banghead:

Make them them wheels-up as a Coastal Command formation display team?

Quote from: Freightdog862 on April 21, 2023, 09:33:34 PMGood morning,

Yes the Sabre missiles will be available separately, I just need to order them from the caster. Just looked at the latest SAM (May 2023), and the Hawk T.2 with Sabre fit is featured as a  what-if subject in the suggested what-if scheme! Quite often when you give magazines samples that is the last you hear from them, or you get a thumbnail image a few months later. SAM are the exception to the rule, and Colin Pickett did a really nice built of it to which is a bonus. Lets see if it translates to any sales.

For those wanting something different, there are pictures of U.S. Army H-13's (Bell Model 47's) with 4X AS.11 as part of their early armed helicopter testing.

They also used UH-1s with six AS.11s operationally in Vietnam.

Honestly, you could hang 4 x AS.11s off practically any pre-1970s helicopter and it would be credible.

My mistake, its more likely Jon did the AS.12 for his Wasp, it was a while back. I know CMK did an AS.12 set. I will take a look at the AS.11, would fit well in my ROTORCraft range to.

That's only a pair, I'm going to need quite a lot unless I make a mould for resin or latex.

Thanks Air Graphics has a wide range of items especially if you want to build one of the Mach2 kits the improvement sets seem to be a worthwhile investment.
