The main structure of deck 2 (fuel tanks) is now printed. Rebans prefer an open construction for fuel tanks as they had some unexpected events regarding fuel tanks in the past.
And of course this helps to get a better view of the tanks.



The main engines will be placed in a torus around the middle of the ship. I now have to make a few tests to see if the construction I want to make is printable in a good way.
A first test of printing about a quarter of the lower torus part. While the inner side looks ok, the outer side - where some support structure was required to print it this way, does not.
Have to see if it can be printed "upside down", but therefore some modification have to be made.




Some adjustments in the inside part of the torus you can see the foundation for one of the engines.





An as I now have build and painted all components for the hangar deck, the final assembly of it can be started.

Totally AWESOME!

Main work is now done on the hangar deck.

Anti-gravity lifts have been added


First components of the life-support system added (right) and the mandatory toilet (left). Of course you need one on the hangar deck.


The other side of the hangar deck, more lift-support equipment added.


Upper deck added and more life-support machinery


And in the meantime, I experimented a bit on the engine torus, it now prints good. I only fear that the complete torus will need quite along time to print.

It's not like you're entering the One Week GB with this, mate! Take your time!

Seconded with Guy...this is well worth taking your time with..it's too cool to rush cause it's looking brilliant so far 😀 👍

Well, yes, because there are others who are "gobsmacked" & still more who are "stunned" & even a few who are "flabbergasted".

Well, I guess when I am able to complete it within a year, then it is ok for me. Some kind of long-term project.

And then I broke the airbrush today, lets how long it takes until spare parts arrive...
