Something gives me the feeling that the subject is from either USA or Japan.

My initial educated guess, and a bit of follow up Google and Wiki Fu, is its a 10th gen Ford BlThunderbird.

The Thunderbirds on the tail lights are a big indicator.

I was looking on Scalemates and the Revell timeline for Thunderbirds is all screwed up. They have '87 cars mixed in with the 50s version. And street cars with stock car racing machines. Can't make sense of it to determine if the kit was made in 1988.

That's a 1988 Ford thunderbird coupe..had a 3.8 ltr v6 engine..rear wheel drive.
If it aint broke ,,fix it until it is .
Over kill is often very understated .
I know the voices in my head ain't real but they do come up with some great ideas.
Theres few of lifes problems that can't be solved with the proper application of a high explosive projectile .

These (or better: their silhouette) were also used at NASCAR until the mid-Nineties, IIRC.

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

That would probably be because Scalemates's timeline reflects when the kits were released, not the real thing, and is not grouped by subject type but by kit manufacturer :) Though I admit they can get hard to follow for kits that have seen a lot of reissues and derivates.

Scalemates is nowhere near as good for car kits as it is for aircraft.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

Scalemates's timeline for (what I think is) this kit doesn't look too bad to me, if I'm honest:
