"50 Shades of Grey" is a minimalist concept.

A quick glance at an FS595 shades book will confirm that, there's ZILLIONS of greys in there, good thing they didn't try and give ALL of them names!

Found it! So I bought my wife 50 Shades of Grey, and it's got about 50 various shades of grey listed.

Not to detract from Si's insanity here, I'd [bistrongly[/b] recommend comments about that book series go on the linked post.

And yeah tan is not gray and I do wonder how many are the same colour with a different name.

continuing on with the base, the insert is painted and lit:





I have sprayed black underneath since taking that shot to add light blocking. It looks pretty good to me
The walls have also been started. You won't see much once the middle layer is added but there is enough to make it interesting:











Well, that's it for now but I'll update this again once the bottom layer has been finished. I think I'll need to black base the bottom first before I start on the top layer as it'll be impossible to get in there once the middle deck has been added. The top plate is almost ready for paint too. I still need to add frame work to it which I'll do once the bottom part is done.

I keep trying to think of amount of work you've done and the amount of time you've put into this build..then it turns into to many numbers and I get a headache ...then I  require coffee ☕️ 🙃 😃

LOL, thanks. I need something stronger than coffee    not sure what GLYO means though. When i googled it, it came up with one throwing up in one's own mouth. Hopefully thats not what you meant     

Hatter mate GLUP is a classic sound when you swallow hard when something stocks or surprises the hell out of ya .

ha - I also just realised I had written GLYO instead of GLUP  Serves me right for touch typing

That has now made me think of the good old days of typing pools filled with 500 or so mostly young ladies    Had a girlfriend from the typing school and she'd learnt to type at secondary school, some of the lessons involved them being blindfolded while taking typing dictation    Do that now and the teacher would get arrested
