YES!   A most unexpected but fascinating piece of work.       It has huge potential as a JMN befuddling item

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

Love the box artwork too!

Have you considered putting up a pic of the instruction sheet?

That box art modification is also really great! Are there any instructions on how to do that?

Just used my old copy of photoshop, using the magic wand & cloning tools

TBH it is a very drawn out pun which seemingly fell flat.

Yes, but only at that altitude over that terrain.

...and after color depth has been reduced and contrast enhanced, until only two basic colors were left.  :-\

"Holy Grapefruit, Batman!"    as Robin is reputed to have said.

Perhaps we have a variant of Kit's first law here..................any WW2  fighter looks better with semi-elliptical wings

I am not certain, but I assume it is a post-colored b/w picture. And even if it should be original, it might only "prove" the effectiveness of the pattern, but certainly not of the colors. Never trust pictures, esp. online/on a screen.
There is/was also a company which boasted about their highly effective pixel cammo for everything. They had, however, only simulated pics of their "products (including aircraft and ground equipment) online, and the pixelated cammo's resolution was chosen to blend well into the highly fragmented surroundings, and the colors they used for it were taken from the pic, too. In the end, the cammo only worked within the confines of the picture and how it would be seen on the advertising website. It's apparently not online anymore, and I remember a F-18 over woodland in the sim pics, as well as a generator station.

Very many thanks for the info   I have done a little research myself on WW2 colour photos and there are some great images out there, colourised b/w or full colour and they really bring the history alive accurately or artistically. Artistic licence can be a good thing especially when your making stuff up as we do  ;D

If done sensitively some of the colourised WWI photos can look very good as well. We just have to beware that todays "yooth" don't think they all had digital cameras on their phones back then  ;D  and I'm only half joking.
