Well Mrs z has gone out, i'm sick (just a cold), and my dank shed is no place to be after dark this time of year.
So as it is something I can do indoors without risk of paint or glue I have been preparing (as per rule 4).
The Hobby Boss Panzer 1 I am using has individual track links.  I just de-sprued and cleaned up 192 of them.   :-\

Yeah, f**kin tiny little buggers.
Exactly the sort of thing which would lead to the shelf of doom if I had tried to do this quickly at my bench as I would have either dropped some and/or got frustrated.
Much better sitting at the kitchen table in the warm with the TV for company.

I'm not looking forward to gluing them together as there is minimal contact area.

Trust me matey I've been there quite a few times.
2 Dragon..3 Italeri..a whole series of Demag 1ton halftracks and at least 14 251 halftracks.
One Italeri one was a Ausf B ..with a full sweep of PE and Fruilmodel tracks..all holes drilled by hand with a .3 mm drill bit.
I got trick tip for when gluing em ..this is what I do..balsa.
I use a piece the same width as the track link then I add what ever size balsa strip I have to that..I glue the strip to one edge and that's that..you have a flat ..straight edge to build em against..works a treat and even better..you can make it as long as to want..I use a similar thing for halftrack tracks but that uses 3 pieces of wood  ;D

Diorama:
Tank up on blocks, conversion incomplete, piles of rusted track links sprinkled
around the scene.

zenrat

Heh heh.  Good thinking Jon.

There were a couple of tracked vehicle builds I spotted at Expo which had battle damaged tracks which I think were due to the frustration of joining vinyl tracks.

Not started anything but I have had a rummage and found two engines to choose between.
Both 1/25.
A completely unbuilt lindberg 426 ci Hemi from a Dodge A100 Little Red Wagon or a very badly assembled supercharged Small Block Chevy.
I think I shall start assembling the hull of the tank before I decide as then I shall be able to see how much room I have.

Thinking small block chev might work ..the blower is the thing which will make it look nuts .
You and I both know the 426 Hemi is a big mother of a motor but if ya added a blower then even better again..so yeah I've got no idea until ya build it .🙃

Blower would look good but the Hemi has 8 individual injectors with velocity stacks...
