Actually no, just for a change.  ;D

I think the heat is getting to you.  ;D

I'm on holiday, different thought processes apply then.  ;D

From the eBay Fairy:

2x Hasegawa 1/72 F-111s

FB-111 that will likely be RW RAAF or USAF
F-111A likely to be whiffed into an RAF Merlin
So I got that going for me...which is nice....

Another one for my Spanish theme, the RS Dornier 17E, has been won on fleabay.  Got it for the start price, and even with postage it's a decent saving over the Hannants price.

I did want an Airfix one, as I'm none too fussed for the added detail, but couldn't find one at a reasonable price ie under a tenner.

We visited the Wight Military & Heritage Museum today, and it was WELL worth it! Their collection of small arms is MIND blowing!  :o  Maybe pics later.

But on the way out an Academy F2H-4 Banshee kit twisted my arm and demanded to be bought, so I did..............  ;D

Funnily enough I was pondering a couple of those in the local hobby shop less than an hour ago.

However in the end I went for a 1/72nd Emhar F-94C (early) Starfire. ("Early" means hemispherical radome and no mid-wing rocket pods.)

Not sure what to do with it. Irish marking occurred to me, with it serving into the 1970s. I think I have an early F-94 as well, which could donate it's twin .50cal wing pods to make a subtle whiff.

Decided I needed more paint and since Vallejo isn't easy to get here I went hunting and found only 2 shops here with a vast selection and most importantly..stock .
So I brought a set of Vallejo FAA Colours 1939 to 1945 .
And after spending a bit more time on the Acorn models website I brought 9 more paints plus a colour chart 😀
I also picked up a  AK Interactive Human flesh tones set ..now I should be able to get faces a bit better.
If it aint broke ,,fix it until it is .
Over kill is often very understated .
I know the voices in my head ain't real but they do come up with some great ideas.
Theres few of lifes problems that can't be solved with the proper application of a high explosive projectile .

An Italeri 1:72 F4U-4B - the jury is still out whether I will use this new one or a vintage (yet NIB) Matchbox Corsair for my Centaurus conversion project for the upcoming GB.

Ex Hobbycraft mould.  Builds nicely but the U/C bays are almost not there.  Great looking aircraft.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

Have to say I've become quite fond of the Vallejo paints.
I'm still not completely weaned off the Humbrols, but these are giving them a run for my money... ;D

I still like my ammo range of paints but Vallejo paints are also now one of favs and the amount of sets they have is wicked.
Unlike Ammo Vallejo also do a huge selection of fantasy colours too..so your choices are huge 😀

Another mecha purchase: an IMAI 1:100 Destroid Tomahawk kit.

Devilfish

Had a good weekend at Newark Air Museum Cockpitfest, and as usual added to the stash. As far as Whiff-worthy kits, I got the following...

A pair of 1/48 Airfix TSR2s, one complete with resin bomb/main U/C bay and metal u/c

(obviously the previous owner lied)

And a 1/72 Heritage Aviation resin TSR2...

And last, but by no means least......

A 1/48 Hobbcraft Avro Arrow!
