I've just skim read the Materials Safety Data Sheet for MEK (ironically from a company called JMN Specialities) and it looks no worse than any other solvent you'd come into contact with day to day.

Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
