I've not gotten into the Culture books but I love the names & I've always thought this would fit the theme.

A few words about Rebans and their language: Of course they have one and they are no telepaths. When Rebans got in contact with humans, they also got in contact with human language, so several of them will understand and talk "terranian" as well.

And there is now a name for the ship, its "Ukumka", which is following the name scheme of other Reban spaceships shown here before.

Now back to contruction, two sections of the ship have been worked on.

Deck 4, engine torus and fusion reactors 

A first test if the engine will fir into the torus - it works.


The inner part of this deck wil lhost the fusion reactors and energy storage. Parts are printed and a placement test.


The first of the fusion reactors is now painted


More work was going on on deck 3, the fuel deck.

All four main tanks are completed and connected

The first crew deck (Deck 7) is now complete. As this deck has only room for 16 Rebans, I will need at least one more of those for the whole crew. Maybe even more.

The next thing to complete will be the fuel deck (Deck 2), so I will no concentrate on this and continue to work on the engine torus.
