Sounds interesting LO 🤔 🙂
If it aint broke ,,fix it until it is .
Over kill is often very understated .
I know the voices in my head ain't real but they do come up with some great ideas.
Theres few of lifes problems that can't be solved with the proper application of a high explosive projectile .

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

Initial cutting and matching up

I have some resin wheels and a cockpit interior on the way from the big H and will need to cut open the wheel wells and fabricate something to make it look more interesting than just a hole!

I'd have started with the new tool Airfix one, as you'd have a good baseline without resorting to extra expense plus bigger tailplanes as standard. Iirc, that's the original 1950s Typhoon, their later car door one was vastly superior and considered the high bar until Academy's kit came out.

Aerodynamics wise, I don't think Typhoon would be able to take full advantage of the Eagle's power due to it's thick wing. Plus the tailplanes would need to be bigger, as would the tail surfaces.

Interesting nonetheless.

All good points, but I had the Eastern Express one to hand in the stash, so.... And this is very much a Whiff and I'm enjoying the challange of getting the resin and etch bits to fit the ancient moulding

I wonder if the Eagle conversion would fit a Sea Fury.................
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Dave did it with my copy of TSrJoe's.  If I remember, I'll add some extras in with the 277 back end.
