OK chaps  .I need the brains of this outfit who have the ability to find stuff.
I lost a auction for a G 6 Ju88 but I did win an auction for another one but it's not a G ..it's got the rounded tail and I wanted the G with its square tail.

Do any of you guys know if there's a conversion set out there to turn a A/E model into a G..even if could just get the rudder that would be a great start..if nothing is out there I'll scratch build it into a G3 .

Thanks in advance guys 😊

For clarity one assumes you're looking for a 1/48 piece ?
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Ahhh did I forget to mention that?...yes sir ..48th scale  ;D

Hack a new one out of styrene.

You can make styrene hydraulics for guns without even thinking hard, a fin's got to be like falling off a log.  ;D
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Kit

Not all G-6s had the enlarged tail; this was gradually introduced when overall production switched to this changed detail. The early tail is not "wrong".

Oh no Thomas it's not at all ..this is just a case of ive never had the square tailed version before ..ive had probably 15 to 20 Ju88s over the yrs and none have the enlarged tail..so I'm gonna change that

Yeah you can say that..fact you did 😆...it's like I need a different 88 this time .
One thing  I'm not going to is replace the engines..it would bugger the Ju's looks.

The Dragon Ju 188 kit, most recently re-released by Revell in 2020*, also has the square tail.
Maybe somebody has a junker kit they'd be willing to part out? I used to have one but it went
bye-bye years back.

*For the oh so reasonable price of $150NZ.
:o

Da  ammm!!! ..what was it ..gold plated ??
Even though there's 3 ICM Ju88s on trademe right now for over $120nz each ...and to be honest..there not super specific variants either..not like mine with the Pak 40..than one really sticks out  <_<

So what's your plan for the "family conversion"?
Seats in the back for the kids?
Space for the dog?
Roof racks for canoes and camping gear?
 ;)

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

Fred I wasn't exactly clear now was I?
The most important thing is the tail and rudder...what I was wondering is if there A/M sets for them and possibly even a cockpit conversion.
I know things like the wheels in resin are easy to find and yup I'm thinking about them too.

The Wooksta!

The G also has different Ju 188 tailplanes and different wingtips.

I *might* have some spare bits somewhere, as I have a part started G that was going to end up as a Ju 388 L-0. It still might, even though 48th isn't my scale, I really do like the Ju 388 family.

Anyway, I'll have a look in the loft and see what's there.

Well thanks a ton Lee..that's awesome mate and yes..totally agreed..the 388 has been on my hitlist for yrs ..ive looked at building a wiffy version as some parts would be a right PITA to build..like those wings ...need some serious work to make them look good.
The tail turret wouldn't be that hard as I've already figured out how to build that..with some help in the idea department from these guys 😀
