That Air America Peacemaker's interesting mate, still down as a future release on Hannants. Not that I want one, but I was checking on a couple of their FR's I would like this morning.
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Mel Gibson's character flies one in the movie (landing it uphill up a very very short steep strip).  I need to check if it is this one.  IRL when they filmed they flew Thai Airforce Turbo Porters.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

The Wooksta!

The Unicrap Type 325 arrived earlier today and it lives down to his usual reputation.  The casting is the usual crunchy bar, no instructions or even a drawing (may be the dude on eBay it came from), a shapeless bit of plastic as a vac form canopy.  The decision to mould the wing in two pieces with a nacelle sandwiched between the two is quite frankly stupid in the extreme.
Now, I may not be a resin producer, but even I know it is less work to master a wing as one complete piece with integral engine, less work to mould (web on leading edge, invert and mould as one piece) and certainly easier for the end user to clean up and assemble.  The wings themselves are no bigger than those of a Meteor and I have a set of resin Meteor NF14 wings moulded exactly as I described that I got it the late 90s.
And before his usual apologists crawl out, let me say this. I. Don't. Care. Nigh on 30 years this guy has been producing his...output and has yet to show ANY sign of improvement.  Had I got this at full price - more expensive than Freightdog's similar Type 327 - I would have been exceedingly F***ed off.

And he taxies it, at some speed, INSIDE the fuselage of a C-123 Provider, removing the Peacemaker's wings in the process!

I've had a special edition styrene kit of one of those for some years now, produced from a mass produced kit, by IPMS Austria, and it looks great, but the decal sheet would take about a MONTH to apply!
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

I went to a comic con in Chicago today. One of the vendors had a nice kit tucked behind the stacks and stacks of Gundam kits. Only 15 bucks.

Nausicaa Valley of the Winds gunship. It's supposed to be 1/72nd scale but the figures provided look a little undersized. No problem for me. I think I'll build it pretty much stock and work on a nice paint job on it.

A ton of wiff possibilities for sure ☺️

Oh I found out something today to my dismay.
Last week I told you guts about the Revell 1300 series Unimog I scored..well last night I built the chassis for it as it's pretty much all on the one sprue ..step 41..cab time and then ummmmm..there's no cab..at all ..anywhere..ie..not in the box 🤨
It's was a second hand kit with Stokers buys quite a few off and it's must have not been checked and I didn't which I normally do but this now has had  good results because if it was there I wouldn't now be building it into some far cooler 😊

The spark had been ignited again 🤪😏

Oh I have something different in mind ..and I'm quite excited about it ☺️..think it's gonna look mean and purposeful but modified for a very nasty world ..im thinking possible post apocalyptic so I can go slightly mental with it 😬 🙃

There was a US truck they started to modify in Afghanistan, I think, which had a complete (well, less running gear) M-113 hull as the cab/passenger module... just sayin'...  ;)

Ivd eeen that Rick ..it's a gutted M113 hull mounted on a I think 2.5ton truck..might be a 5ton ..what I'm looking at right now is going to work very nicely and it's strange but this is gonna be far better than the absolute bucket of crap model  it's based on .

😆..classic Monty Python 👌
Calling that Unimog kit utter crap is a pretty good understatement..fit of parts is crap..the detail is crap ..so yeah I'm actually quite happy now ☺️
It's gonna be a heap of work as I have a body shell with no chassis...so I have to make the Unimog chassis fit but I think what I have so far is gonna be quite cool..and I already have a buddy vehicle to go with it .
