They called that the Alabama Slammer after the alcoholic beverage and the fact that the mechanics building it were from the Army depot in Alabama. It was in Kuwait back in '03. I'm going to build one, one of these days.

I remember when all Matchbox armour  models had a little diorama base with em ..very nice find mate 👍
Today in the mail was a amazing parcel sent to me by a amazing friend.
In that parcel is the following..
1 x Hobbycraft 1/48th Junkers Ju88 G6 ..it's not the same as the Dragon one I lost and do I care??? NO !! ITS A G6 !! 😀😀😀
Also there's a plane I was seriously looking at maybe buying yesterday on Trademe..it's price was cheap compared to say Academys kit
A Revell 1/48th A-10 Warthog Thunderbolt ll 😁
And the icing on the cake...
A 1/32nd A-4 F Skyhawk...ive now got the prefect base for a conversion I've wanted to do for ages..a 32nd twin engined A-4 with wider wings and if I can swing it..delta winged .

Almost forgot 😬
Scored a Calibre 35 1/35 M31 Recovery Vehicle conversion..it was so cheap I couldn't say no 👍
If it aint broke ,,fix it until it is .
Over kill is often very understated .
I know the voices in my head ain't real but they do come up with some great ideas.
Theres few of lifes problems that can't be solved with the proper application of a high explosive projectile .

Matchbox kits will forever have a place in my heart, but the boxart perpetuating the myth of the Polish cavalry charging tanks is making it difficult

Re the Hobbycraft 88G. My advice is to take off the bits that define the G and use them on a Dragon.  The Hobbycraft is barely a caricature of the Ju 88. I had that kit along time back  and couldn't wait to get shot.

Arrived from the BIG H yesterday

The F's always been my favourite 109 version, nice clean lines, although the K's run it close. Comes complete with a colour etch, normal etch, mask set and 6 markings options. Will be real world as I've fancied doing one of the options for ages.
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

I'm tempted with one.  Thinking tall tail and Erla hood as a captured training aircraft.

Just snaffled a red box  Airfix Fw 189 off eBay at a reasonable price.  That'll get the radial engine conversion I have tucked away.

The MPM is a more detailed kit, but a bit too fiddly for my current tastes.  I'll pass the one I have on to Willie.  I did get an Airfix one from him.

Keep trying to get the Dragon G, either straight or in it's Mistel guise.  Long shot is the G-10 boxing.

I've got a ju88 lined up with Bungle which I'll get off him and the 188 I should be able to get next week.
There is a Mistel on trademe here and like most things here..fecking expensive
I do have a Ju88 P1 which will be the base for something wiffy and I'm sure the Hobbycraft one will be incorporated into it .
