Ok, maybe not that stealthy. But at least as much as possible as I can make it.
I got the following 1/200 scale Hobby Boss kit shown below at my modeling club's auction this past weekend for only $10. What a deal!
No missing parts. Everything still bagged and in the box.
Anyway, I'm thinking of converting this slightly to have some stealth-like features.
I want to get rid of the tall mast and also the gun radome, and replace both of those with something else.
A picture below shows some of the parts options for new mast structures, but I haven't decided which I want to use.
In the future, I may also change the gun and missile options too. But haven't thought that far ahead yet.
Modeling isn't just about how good the gluing or painting, etc. looks. It's also about how creative and imaginative you can be with a subject.
My modeling philosophy is: Don't build what everyone else has done. Build instead what nobody has seen or done before.

Nice ! The Flying 400 is way cooler tho ;-)

Don't think you need to change the OTO-Melara 76mm, it's a good gun system, but, maybe, get one with the more modern angular turret?

For the mast, my 1st option would be Part 4, with Part 3 in a moderately distant 2nd place.

That missile launch set up is quite a radar reflector. I'm sure you have plans for that. I agree with Old Wombat about the gun turret. Lots of stuff on the deck that needs to go. It will be fun to see what you do with it!

If you're going for a modern stealthy sort of vessel here, then I might suggest replacing the Harpoon launchers with NSM box launchers (still a radar reflector, but the new USN FFGs are supposed to get those, so for any anti-ship capability that's probably what you're looking at for modern USN vessels).  I think maybe Part 5 or Part 2 for the mast.

Agreed, modern missile box launchers would improve the stealthiness.
Also, a 57mm as on the Constellation class would be suitable for the role.  Lower profile, plenty of effectiveness.
In want of hobby space!  The kitchen table is never stable.  Still managing to get some building done.

As far as the missile launchers go, I'll eventually think of something to replace the Harpoon launchers.
As for the selection of different radar masts as shown in one of the pics in my original post, No's 4 and 5 were used for an aircraft carrier model I'm currently building.
Therefor, only #'s 1, 2, and 3 can be chosen for the hydrofoil. I haven't decided what what I'll choose.

Box launchers for Naval Strike Missiles perhaps?

Perhaps. I haven't decided yet, but it's a good possibility I may add them.

I think I'm getting closer to a configuration that I like. Still not there yet, but definately closer. ;)

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Starting the painting of the lower hull. Using the same blue paint for my anti-fouling coating that I previously used for my other model ships I showed in this forum.
Thing about this kit is that there's no sort of "demarcation line" so to speak on how wide the black boot stripe is or where the blue anti-foul coating starts/ends or where the upper hull gray color starts/ends. The instructions aren't very good, so I just had to eyeball it.  :-\
Still have some cleanup to do as my straight lines didn't quite come out that straight. The aft foil isn't glued onto the hull. Just had it loosely attached so you could see how the model sits on the cutting mat. There is no display stand that came with the kit.

The first two pics below show the radar mast assembly I'll have on the hydrofoil. I'm not really happy about it, but it's the best I could do with whatever spare parts I had.
The 3rd and 4th pics below show the configuration of what the hydrofoil will hopefully be like with the weapons added on.

The turret looks Russian to me but I could be wrong.
This is coming along well.
