I'm contemplating an 1:72 Modelsvit Tu-144 that's offered for about a third of its shop price. Still a hefty sum, though, and not exactly lean on shelf space once built.. But on the other hand - I do have two Concordes intended to become Bombcordes, one British and the other French, of course. Now - it is tempting to have a Soviet counterpart, isn't it..

PR19_Kit

Is that the later version with the two engine pods, or the prototype with them all squished together in one pod?
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

The later, series variant.

1 x Dora Wings 1/48 Vultee Vengeance Mk.II Dive Bomber

1 x Dora Wings 1/48 Vultee Vanguard Mk.I/J10 Fighter

The idea is to do them both as Australian Army Air Corps* operating from Port Moresby ca. August, 1942, to January, 1943.

I have one in the StashTM since a few years, actually, but as the canopy is very wrong indeed, I haven't gotten to do something with it.
The rest of the kit looks nice enough, though, and I feel it does beg to be almost-RW'ed as a late seventies French ex-colonial COIN bird. A two-engined Skyraider, if you follow me.

What's your plans, Doggo?

Well, that's the first thing i've read about the canopy being wrong... but i guess i'll just have to go with what the kit brings.
My plan is actually very simple. The Portuguese clandestinely bought and operated 7 B-26B/C Invader during the Colonial wars in Africa. The original plan was to buy 29 aircraft but the US government denied the sale so what if they hadn't and instead of B-26B/C, the PoAF got the B-26K?
Another scenario could be one where the PoAF didn't leave the aircraft behind like they did when they left the colonies and then these aircraft were all refurbished like the B-26K were.

None of these scenarios seem too far fetched to me although the second can be seen as more realistic?
Anyway, i have the A-26B kit in the stash so i could use that one for that idea and use this kit for something like a maritime patrol/surveillance/attack role?  ;)

The kit canopy is a flat one, not the bulged one we're used to see. It's up to the builder how important that is, but..

Much like mine, methinks, but yours will be green.. 😉
