This should be fun, just have to decide whether to take a ship forward or backward in propulsive means.  And the backstory...
In want of hobby space!  The kitchen table is never stable.  Still managing to get some building done.

A battle ship like the Mighty Moe with sails  🙃
If it aint broke ,,fix it until it is .
Over kill is often very understated .
I know the voices in my head ain't real but they do come up with some great ideas.
Theres few of lifes problems that can't be solved with the proper application of a high explosive projectile .

Is it accepted to change the engine type while having many other changes?
I am thinking of a BAe-146 using turboprops instead of turbojets but also low wing instead of high wing, canopy 1/48 with rest 1/72, etc. (changing the engine type would be just one of the many changes, yes or no for here?)
[the word "realistic" hurts my heart...]

Tophe, we are used to your models to being VERY, VERY different from their originals.  ;D  ;D  ;D

Yes, you can have "other" changes other than just the engine type.

We do have however, a slight condition. It is called "RE-Engine", emphasis on the "RE".
So I would expect to able to see where the model originally came from.
A combination of random parts from your spare box would never be re-engined as it never had original engines.
I would say that your example would be accepted as long as we can still see that it is (or was) a BAe-146.
Looking at most of your recent models, I would say that I can still see where they come from though.

Thanks, I think I understand.
I consider drawing (this would be a drawing not a plastic model this time) 2 versions of the final model: 1 with canopy/windows looking like the normal 146 except scale, 1 other one as further dream being a single-seater with a bubble canopy. The first version would be the proposal for this GB, the second being a more crazy derivative, out of the subject (and not shown in the "final entries"). Yes?

We await with interest.  ;)

I'd like to join in with this GB - it's the perfect opportunity to build that Napier Dagger-engined Hawker Hurricane I've been planning to do!

Cheers,

Tempting, tempting, save that one for a future build.  Maybe another "Final Countdown" scenario.

If both sides had them you'd have 16" guns firing chain shot to bring down the oppositions rigging...

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)
