I have a mini-Wombat Stash started for my grandson, much to my daughter's bemusement ... I really hope he turns his almost boundless energy to modelling at some stage!

Oh that is so clever they will be raising statues to you  ;D . I salute you sir

Once in a while, if seldom, there are days when I contemplate the possibility of a centrally located flat entirely without any sort of garden. This has been such a day.
Luckily, I usually come to my senses before having been able to do anything daft. That is also valid for today.

Ah, well. Neither the Blinder nor the Fresco are going anywhere.

I married a research botanist, so the thought of NO GARDEN AT ALL  is a compete non-starter.   I would agree that there have been moments  when no garden has seemed a good idea  but like you,  I come to a sense of reality very quickly.

I have a window box and that is left in it's wild state, but I still get this persistent tulip stick its head above ground every year. ;D

I'm a lazy gardener, I plant (predominantly) Australian native plants & if they live, great, if they don't I'll replace them with something else, but I do have some lawn (the dog needs somewhere to run), some fruit trees, & some Japanese maples out across the front of the house (which faces West & the deciduous maples allow sunlight through in Winter to keep the front rooms slightly warmer & shade in the Summer keeps the front rooms a bit cooler.

However, I hate weeds, so there must be a gardening gene in there somewhere. ;)

Mrs z is the gardener.  I just do the groundworks and anything involving a motor.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

My front garden (there isn't a back one.....) looks like the Matto Grosso!

I'm allergic to every pollen there is so I just don't 'do gardening'. Every now and then I get someone to come and chop it down to size, but they only ever come and do it once.  ;D
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Gardening?  What's that?  I decided to let our yard go to seed, partly to try to restore some semblance of habitat but mainly because most of it is moss.  Although when it gets cooler this fall, I must cut it down to size, yank out the hemlock trying to strangle our hydrangea, and trim off the burn on our rhododendron.

I can relate, but unfortunately, the robot lawnmowers will fall under the "anything involving a motor" category. As does the mowing itself, should someone have to mow manually.

Well - both robots seem to work, actually, if not ideally so. I still have to mend or replace the guide cable for one of them, i.e the fast route home to feed. It does work without guide, but it'll lose up to half an hour in each cycle (charging-mowing-returning) because it can't as easily find its way home.
But that'll be for another day.

Some fiddling around with the small KP MiG-17PF after all. I've built the cockpit, closed up the fuselage and built the wings separately, but when I combine them, some of the shape deficiencies are quite glaring. Mostly so the too narrow wings and the too long stabilators. And while the latter are easily fixed, the wings are not. Still, I might try, just because of inner peace. Or the lack of it, rather.

Also found the source for the somewhat soft wings on the Firebar. The joint between the underside of the wing and the engine gondolas was never a perfect fit, but I've now filled it up with some CA glue. We shall see if that won't sort it.

There are days where a condo on the third floor sounds good. Mainly when I'm raking leaves for the third time or shoveling snow for the tenth time.  :banghead:

It would have to have room for my spray booth.

Ditto, 'cept it's the Sister in my case.
There's something kind of therapeutic in going mad dealing to the lawn with a weedeater... especially as I have a newer, more powerful one now...  ;D
