Now im not normal when it comes to my want of building overly big models..still have that heli carrier to finish...but a B-36 Peacemaker that big  :o

i will confirm the Sanger B52 is a vac form, though it does have some white metal parts  ( i have one, its in the loft  smirking at me)  and im certain that the large scale aero SIG had an at lest 1:48 resin B-36 on the stand a few years ago at Telford.  Kit will back me up on this  we both saw the body,  it was biiiiigggg, like bigger than a softball bat big  :o
If you want easier that Vac, HpH do a 1:48 B-52, but its rather costly,  they also do a 1:48 Concorde  now that i want, i just have to save for it......

the things you learn, give your mind the wings to fly, and the chains to hold yourself steady
take off and nuke the site form orbit, nope, time for the real thing, CAM and gridfire, call special circumstances.

Yeah, that B-36 was GINORMOUS, but weighed almost nothing, I was amazed.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

Styrene overcast! ;D  ;D  ;D

In 1/24 that would have a 9'7" span and be 6'9" long.

Should probably be offered with an optional motors and remote control kit.

Looks like it's got Shrikes and a ECM pod.

Not at that price. I'll pass. I'd still prefer a B1/B1.A but, that would probably be unaffordable as well! Still, good news I guess for a lot of us

I once saw a big "Travel Agents Window" Concorde.  It was at least 1/48, possibly bigger.  It was in QANTAS colours.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

Back in day lots of travel agents had Concorde's in their windows in lots of different airlines colours. Often wondered where they ended up.

This one ended up on top of the office in a factory unit in Moorabin, Victoria.

The guy had some interesting cars we had gone to look at but was also a collector of all sorts of stuff including Travel Agents WIndow planes.

Some years back I happened to walk past the Iran Air offices in London and the centrepiece of their window display was a very large model Concorde in Iranian colours. Now there's a whiff I could do!

One largish, travel agent, Concorde ended up my Loft, in kit form. It's an all grey, injection moulded prototype (short tail) and it's moulded in five parts, the nose, the tail and fin, two engines and all the rest, wing and centre fuselage all in one piece! An incredible piece of moulding for sure.

I tried to scratch build a long tail for it, using balsa and dope and talcum powder, as you did in those days, and failed abysmally. I suppose the 'kit' is still up there somewhere.................

Yup, you'd probably have the local drug squad onto you nowadays

Didn't Iran Air have Concordes on order back when it was under the Shah ?

The Concorde shown in the photos in that link looks to be about the same size as the one I saw with the flying roo on its tail.

Ooops I shall go and stand in an appropriate corner before reading it. My only excuse is that I'm completely knackered.
