Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

At roughly 17:20 BST the Red Arrows flew over the Wallace Monument unst outside Stirling to mark the 154th birthday of the National Wallace Monument.

In Britain, with so many monuments, they must do that somewhere every other day!

The Wooksta!

Pair of Merlin helicopters lumbered over Wooksta Towers a few days back.  The bloody racket nearly put me off my rum and coke!

The sky was full of contrails early on this morning. Made me realise just how busy the skies above S E England are, and that's without the Heathrow and Gatwick traffic which doesn't really pass this way.

You probably know all about this site  https://www.flightradar24.com/51.44,-1.39/8  Despite it having its limitations it can  usually identify a proportion of the producers of said contrails.

However, it rarely if ever enables you to  identify the noisy military blighter who hurtled over you house at about 400 feet........ one of the joys of country living!

Half a dozen T-38s out of Port Columbus/John Glenn, one or two every half hour or so.  Different callsigns on Flightaware, so not just somebody doing touch and goes.  Nice change in sound and speed from the usual commuters.

I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

Not seen, but heard at 5:00am this morning, scores of jets coming into land at Gatwick, just as I was nodding off for a second time in my hotel

Seen over the A49  on the way north to check up on Madame R's  mum (nearly 96)    a single glider near Shawbury and a single Boeing 757 near Manchester airport.  Apart from those two, nothing at all.

Not over my house, but it was interesting to see the Patrouille de France and Red Arrows flying in formation up the Champs-Elysees today for Charlie's State visit to France.

Nothing like a screaming Phantom at 500 feet! (That's the official story. They went much lower than that! Some folks lost radio antennae.)
