Looks great, but I agree with Lee - contra prop.

 

The only ones I have are either Shackleton ones or a very large dia. thin bladed resin that Chris donated.

No Spit kits in the loft with contraprops?
Special Hobby Mk 24 and Mk 47 Seafire both include regular and contra props.
Lee says they are inaccurate, so you'd surely only want to whiff it anyway, if you had an example...

Amazingly not, I must have purloined them for other purposes, and I have over NINETY Spitfire kits of various Marks and manufacturers and ages up there too!

How far is the Shackleton prop from fitting?
In the Real World, Shackleton props (modified???) have been used on P-51 based air racers with Griffon engines.

That's looking much better ...it was missing something and the Peess completed it 😊

As it was an engine test-bed, I'm assuming that this is the original prop fitted before extensive trials showed that a contra-prop was required and was fitted later (Kit's second law applies)  Our Scandinavian gentleman is as usual quite correct.................It's simply great!
