Okie dokie. Time for my tuppence worth

Friday set up arrangements by the show management are pretty much as per last year. With one change.
This year on the branch/sig returns there was no section asking in names of the SIG's set up crew. The last briefing that was emailed out a few weeks ago answered that question.

This year the first person to arrive will be handed the SIG's allocation of set up wrist bands. In our case that will be me. Those arriving after me on the Friday can contact me on my mobile. I can then head over to the members enterance and hand over a wrist band. From memory I think we are allocated 3 set up bands.
Those Friday set up bands allow early access for both Saturday and Sunday as well so dont loose em. Other wise you will be joining the rest of the membership for doors opening at 9ish.

Dispite the apparent lack of a kitswap again. The no undertable sales rules are still in force. This is Im told, more a requirement of the centre management rather than the IPMS Exsec. However. I will as usual, turn a blind eye towards deals between SIG members (arranged on here or elseware) behind the stand. But please keep it discreet.

Food and drink behind the stand. The centre management do not approve, as they would prefere we use their food outlets. But they dont realy enforce it.
So anything in moderation as far as I am concerned. (were not the Aerobatic SIG, who go for excess).

Seating. For those who have a folding chair. It might be useful to bring it along with you. As I suspect as per most years, seating will be at a premium.
I always hope for the best.
Unfortunately,
experience has taught me to expect the worst.

Plan on attending both days, no way I'm swimming all the way from Canada for just one!  ;D  Booked into the Mercure for Sunday night, heading to Cosford on the Monday.  Still wondering about bringing a model, and if so, which one.  IPMS membership card secure in my wallet!

I have been looking at whether I could make a visit to Telford, if only for a few hours, as it must be 15 years at least since I last went. Its a 4 hour round trip for me on mostly motorways.
I have been after an MPM trent Meteor for some time now, and I think Telford could be my last hope of finding one.

I built one a good few years ago Chris. It's a nice kit if you can get hold of one.

If Special Hobby are there this year, then they may have some in stock. I'm hoping for some He 100Ds.  And to know when their two stage Mosquitoes are coming out.

They're not on the latest list of traders. Very few continentals, indeed I'm surprised Eduard will be there if I'm honest.

Tbh, there's enough of us there. If we spot one, we either pass on the details of where it is or buy on the spot and get the money (with menaces if need be) off Chris later.  I assume he has a maximum price he's willing to pay.

Hya Lee,
That would be brilliant, 30 quid ish should be enough to get one, he says, so that would be handy. Very nice build Chris and probably what I would do with mine too
Cheers

I've got one. It's one of his earlier efforts and it's less bad than some of his other tragic atrocities.
