Twin-engine with crew space between the engine intakes forward, no glazing but full 3D VR sensor arrays.

However, if you're going that far, go the fully-piloted UAV route, which brings you full circle back to the original.

I do hope they don't!  Well past its 'best before' date even as a Vintage Classic.  Let's persuade Airfix to do the 'Vintage Classic' with the Skyvan, the Islander, the the Bird Dog, the Cessna O-2. the Cherokee Arrow (plenty more candidates), but not the dH88.  KP and Clearprop efforts knock even a budget-priced Vintage Classic Comet out of the park.
