I fear the finish line is still a bit away, but I am now coming close of having build half of the deck.

Right now, I work on three different parts of the Reban ship.

On the engine deck, some more auxiliary machinery has been added

The outer part of the engine torus is no also done

A new version of the small space craft, The engines now have been mounted differently.

Some early tests for the second crew deck. While the outer part with its cabins will be the same as on the other, the center of the deck will get a small spa for the Rebans.  They want to relax during space flight.  Some early test prints of it.

I am currently concentrating the work on the engine deck, a lot of things have to be made here

Preparing the inner part of the torus to install the machinery

The central part of this deck is now completed with everything put in place.

Now putting the torus and the reactor section together

A Reban at its control console

Starting to install the engines

And now something completely different - the next version of the small space craft

I'm trying to get over the last 2 updates and then I saw the third... :o  :o
If it aint broke ,,fix it until it is .
Over kill is often very understated .
I know the voices in my head ain't real but they do come up with some great ideas.
Theres few of lifes problems that can't be solved with the proper application of a high explosive projectile .

Finally, the engine torus is done. At least the lower part of it (Deck 4), a very similar one will be on top of it.

In the center of this deck, fusion reactors and energy storage are placed, in the outer torus, the four main engines are located.

With all its machinery, this deck was the most time consuming to build so far. This deck is almost twice as wide as the other ones. The real challenge will now come to stack them all together....

I've just run out of words to describe what I think of that amazing built.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Regards
Kit

Thx, this deck was the most complicated to make so far. The real challenge will be to make the upper part of the engine torus and fit both parts together.

Next thing to build will be Deck 0, landing legs, water and oxygen tanks.
