Hello!

Right from the bench - 1/72 Trumpeter F-107
Not great model but also not terrible. I've upgraded it with seatbelts, bombs, refueling probe, cannon barrels, some spare decals for cockpit and  customized markings from A-4. (VMAT-102 fas changed to VMA-102). Pilot figure is from Aires.

I just love silhouette of  F-107 :)

Nice all around especially the figure!

Beautiful build. I really like the idea of the refueling probe. I've got that kit in the stash that I want to Whif Up, just not sure what/how yet.

Great job on this one ! For sure, she's an interesting, powerful, and all around good looking machine. Looks great in these colours and markings.

The 107 always looks as if NA Whiffed an F-100 themselves! And made a great job of it too.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Kit

Excellent a favourite aircraft of mine too . I have the same kit in my stash, waiting to be wiffed.
You have certainly done the kit justice, as it looks spot on, what if any problems are there with the kit?

There's a very similar Saab project, although that has a delta wing.

Nice!
The USMC is an unusual operator choice, IMHO, but it works and suits the F-107 well.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

My first thoughts exactly  ;D

Terrific build
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Really nice!  I want to build an F-107 but I can't find one in 1:48.

Thanks ,everyone :)

There are few problems:
-seatbelts are molded on seat cushion and needs to be removed
-there are no details on main instrument panel and side panes
-wing to fuselage fit is not good. A lot of putty is needed
-IP panel cover and windshield fit is very tight. A lot of caution with glue is needed,
-landing gear actuators are too straight and too thick - sand and bend them to make'em fit or scratchbuild them

There is one 1/48 F-17 from Collect Aire but if you find it anywhere at reasonable price you'll be lucky :)

Thanks for the heads up on the quirks, I shall remember when I get round to doing mine. I was thinking of delta wings , early 1960's RAF, with firestreak missiles on the wings,or NMF RAF again, and call it the Fairey Delta IV.
