The kit is not as good as the 1st  Airfix one which has syncronized jet nozzles....but the cover art is the business    ( A Harrier in a West German Forest  )

IIRC that box art was taken from a page in the RAF Yearbook back then, and their pic was even larger!  :o
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

If it aint broke ,,fix it until it is .
Over kill is often very understated .

Theres few of lifes problems that can't be solved with the proper application of a high explosive projectile .

PR19_Kit

I think I have, but finding THAT particular Yearbook is the problem in my chaotic house. :(

THAT is for shure a German forest ,  I know them  . Looks like around Munster , Bergen and Celle or something like that .
Some parts around Gütersloh and Sennelager look similar

Both the RAF's No. 3 and No. 4 Sqdns were based at Gütersloh when they flew Harrier GR1s and 3s, so that's quite likely.
