Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Nice. I also have a Mirage IV in The Stashâ„¢ with a similar conversion plan, some day...

Oooooh, the Mirage IV, a real knee trembler of an aeroplane.

Every schoolboy's idea of a supersonic bomber.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Very true Kit, and we don't see that many models of them around, which is a shame.

I've got an RW one, with a scratchbuilt ASMP missile underneath, which I finished a month before Heller bought out the Mirage 2000N kit which included the same missile!  :banghead:  :banghead:

And I've got an un-built one too, and I think that needs seriously Whiffing....................

Why not try doing the Spay engined version for the RAF?

It's not THAT different looking Alastair, and I'd much prefer a more 'engineering' approach to it.

I might make the wings longer of course......................  ;)

Crop the outer sections and replace them with "swing wings" ?  ;)

So that simply fools the punters into thinking its OOB.

Go down the Su-17 route maybe?

The B-1 sort of looks Su-17 ish too. The swing pivots point is quite away out from the fuselage.

Give it hinged wing tips like XB-70?

All the swing wingers that actually work reasonably well seem to have their pivots some distance away from the fuselage as such, F-111, B-1, Su-23 etc etc. The one with internal pivots didn't seem to make it past the prototype stage, even if they looked sleeker, like various Mirage VG projects.

There must be some aerodynamic or stuctural reason for it I'm  sure, but I've no idea what it might be.
