@ old wombat: I  do like the sleek lines aswell and I'm sure the D.21's plus scaffolding will spoil it's lines. But that's imho the same for all carrierplanes for other combo's whether it's the Vakhmistro or the Siebel or the Boeing 747. And there is a reason for it as it purpose is to get the fighter in the air and closer to the scene. So it needs to do it's transporting job as efficient as possible. That's why it's sleek.

@loupgarou: very good point! I'll put your suggestion in the storyline.

In general the storyline i have in mind is about a high brass officer in the 1930-ies in Dutch Army having too much influence skills and a very strong opinion about the need to protect the country as the enemies were all around the low counties. Being very influential helped this officer a lot in this carreer, but being suspicious and narrowminded without being criticized lead to spectacular weird and megalomaniac. projects. High priority was with defending the country, rallying as much as possible public opinion in being proud to be Dutch and boost defence of the country. By getting this Zveno in the air, the goal was to achieve just that. Second goal of the Zveno was showing the enemy what could be achieved in technology and that the defence power could range far (If needed).

Anyway I guess it's therapeutical to get clean after a situation in dayly live.

Are the nacelles glued on yet? In a couple of shots it look as if the Port Outer is a bit skew-whiff...

Surprisingly I build a cheap PM Fokker XXI last week too    , just to try something with the propeller.
They look a bit faster if you shorten the landing gear , I cut out the thin part of the legs .

Your carrier looks very nice !

Dave, as i've observed before you have an uncanny ability to produce shapes which are pleasing to my eye.
The mother plane is a gorgeous looking bird.  It'a almost a shame to hide it under all those Fokkers.
Big wheels again.  Is that a thing with you?

I'm fairly sure that Fokker schemed a version with retractable undercarriage ? If so they might suit this concept ?

Isn't there a kit of it? Or did one of us Whiff it from a standard DXXI?

It's true. Kora did a Finnish version ( with retractable gear): https://www.scalemates.com/kits/kora-models-7205-fokker-dxxi-4-sarja--951299
But they're really expensive.. as in really EXPENSIVE. I mean close to 60 euro's for a model just over 10 x 10 cm's. Yeah, size does matter!

'Bout the big tyres: I was thinking it'll be quite heavy once loaded with those D XXI's and given the swampy grass strips it'll be a better solution to equip the carrier with big tyres.

Maybe the carrier is less visible once the DXXI's are on (oh I didn't put them on yet, hence the pegs). So i'll paint it first and make pictures. Then (maybe) put the D XXI's on.

As my compressor is out of service it won't be finished for this years ESM. Gives me plenty of time for next year.

It'd be a lot cheaper to kit-bash a DXXI and a Hurricane! 

Here is a pic of my DXXI Version, i just wanna try to build big props and a spinner with air intake , the kit was lying around . Maybe i will ad some more exhausts at the side , and a camo paint ?

Special Hobby released the retractable u/c version but it is V.hard to get.
