It seems as if my life went out of control, at least to a certain degree...  :-\

I think most of us have been there before mate..I know for sure I've been there before..the real PITA thing is sometimes you don't even know where it started or why.
If it aint broke ,,fix it until it is .
Over kill is often very understated .
I know the voices in my head ain't real but they do come up with some great ideas.
Theres few of lifes problems that can't be solved with the proper application of a high explosive projectile .

Work will do that to you. Or the people at work more likely. I'm sure we all have stories to tell.

Well, I'll keep working on it, since I do not want to bag it again...

Some slow progress; roof has been painted now, too, and I started to add light shading/weathering to the basic coat of paint. Silver window frames next.

In the meantime, a look at the motorized chassis (totally analogue). Here nothing has changed, just the wheels and the lower frame have been adjusted to the body's manin color, a dirty black. Wheels and bogies will receive some more dry-brushing to amphasize details and to simulate rust dust.

And: the window frames have been painted with silver - changes the overal look a lot! I'm afraid that I cannot push the new windows away any longer, though...

More (very) slow progress over the weekend, which was dominated by a highly entertaining karaoke evening: the first windows have been cut and prelaminiarily set into the openings. Looks MUCH better than the OOB solution and like the real thing, but the windows on the driver positions will be (much) more challenging.

More slow progress: the four small rear windows for the driver cabins have been scratched and dry-fitted (from 2mm acrylic glass, like the large engine bay windows) as well as the first pair of windscreen panels, which were carved from thinner 1 mm material. Slow and tedious process.

I keep on expecting it to be re-painted green, like a BR 'Warship', which was pretty much the same design shrunk a bit to fit the UK loading gauge.  ;D
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

There were Warships in all kinds of flavors. Some were wine red, and IIRC there was a really ugly one in an ochre tone!  ;D
