I spy a Boys anti-tank rifle poking out of that turret. There's not many kits with one of those included, I bet.
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

Could become the race umpires vehicle ?

Willie passed me a Special Hobby Bv P.211 earlier.  I have the parts of one somewhere but I can't remember where.  Far too cold to venture into the loft!

First thoughts on grokking the sprues is that it is less detailed than the Roden kit but has build options and the moulding is crisper.
This might become an armoured hot rod...

Might ??
Better Freddy mate 😁
Boys AT rifles and Vickers machine guns included
Or .50cals or bigger 😊
If it aint broke ,,fix it until it is .
Over kill is often very understated .
I know the voices in my head ain't real but they do come up with some great ideas.
Theres few of lifes problems that can't be solved with the proper application of a high explosive projectile .

The Wooksta!

Went into the loft anyway and found the errant P.211 in 30 seconds. Plus most of a Revell P194 and the wings from something else that I need to mould.  Result!

A big order of "bits" headed my way;

1 x Royal Models 1/35 War Reporter Resin Figure (RM960) - will find its way into a Ukraine War diorama
1 x Reskit 1/35 Unimog 404 Interior 3D-decals for ICM kit (RSK35008) - there were 2 in the order to start with but one got sold between putting them in the cart & paying for them. No biggie.
1 x HobbyBoss Models 1/48 F-105G Thunderchief (HB 80333) - I weakened & bought the G model to go with my D model
1 x Reskit 1/48 F-105G Thunderchief Vertical Stabilizer for HobbyBoss #80333 kit (RSU48-0138) - more accurate version for the above 105
2 x Master Models 1/48 Republic F-105 Thunderchief Pitot Tubes (AM-48-045) - 2 x 105s = 2 x metal pitot tubes
2 x Reskit 1/48 F-105 "Thunderchief" Exhaust Nozzle for HobbyBoss kit (RSU48-0139) - 2 x 105s = 2 x engine exhausts
2 x Reskit 1/48 F-105 Thunderchief Outboard Pylon (AERO-3B) for AIM-9B [3D Printing] (RS48-0427) - for the 105D flying top-cover (one pylon in each set) ... I think I have enough AIM-9Bs to max the load (x 4)
1 x Reskit 1/48 F-105 Thunderchief Outboard AGM-12 & AGM-45 Pylons [2pcs, 3D Printing] (RS48-0444) - for the 105G Weasel (not sure if I have the weapons for these, though ... yet)
1 x Reskit 1/48 Multi Weapon Inboard Pylons for F-105 "Thunderchief" [2 pcs] (RS48-0425) - for the 105G
1 x Reskit 1/48 AN / ALQ-119 ECM Pod (medium length version) for A-7, A-10, F-4, F-16, F-105, F-111 (RS48-0408) - ECM for the 105G
1 x Reskit 1/48 M-117R GP Bombs w/MAU-91 fin (6 pcs) for F-105/111, A-4 ,F-4/5/104/100 (RS48-0432) - part of the weapons load for the 105G
1 x Reskit 1/48 M-117 GP Bombs (late) w/MAU-103 conical fin (6 pcs) for F-105/111, A-4 (RS48-0435) - another part of the weapons load for the 105G
1 x Brengun 1/48 Modern US Rail Launchers LAU-115 + 2 x LAU-127 Adapters [2 sets] (BRE-BRL48175) - NOT for the 105s but I haven't figured out what else they may be attached to, yet

The F-105s should look good as Aust Army Air Corps ca. 1970. ;)

Just arrived this morning, and highly anticipated . Moulding looks nice in the box, could n't see any problems or excessive flash, was hoping it would at least have pylons for drop tanks, but there you go. It is more than likely going to be fleet air arm, based aboard a refitted Ark Royal, that didn't get scrapped. In 1982, it was sent to the Falklands with 2 RF-8's sea Jaguars and Phantoms, as well as a couple of the last servicable 2 seat sea super sabres. I have a more detailed back story for the crusader during the Falklands war too.

That Recce Crusader does look good. And I've just sent and order to the Big H and missed adding one them!  :banghead:  :banghead:

Accidental Loggie

Arrived yesterday from "Somewhere in Lowestoft" :

Sword's AEW 3 Gannett, which will be done as RW - it looks weird enough as it is.
Mach's Trident II French 1950s' mixed-power interceptor - probably in the markings of some random Mirage Sqn courtesy of Modeldecal.

And picked up from Colin at Telford last month:

Freightdog Hunter P1109A conversion
Freightdog Hunter T12 conversion

And then of course there's the P1128 fuselage from @TsrJoe - I'm thinking '60s Queen's Flight...

It doesn't look too bad , but I have yet to give it a proper coat of looking at. A friend is going to send me a bagged Italeri F-8, so I can pinch the pylons and drop tanks off it if there's any with it.

Gondor

Just received a redelivered parcel from HobbyLink Japan

2 x 1/72 Beaver Corporation BEL 7002 TSR.2MS photo etch cockpit detail set for the Stratos 4 version of the TSR.2

And the picture is the two of them inside the box it was sent in with all the packing. Actually they were both in a small plastic bag under a protective plastic wrapping.

Yep, that looks about right for HLJ packing.

- Can't be bothered to do the proper research and get it right.

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

That looks like a what-if. The wheels seem to be modern offroad wheels, not the skinny tires on spoked wheels that were originally used on the RRAC.
