Quote from: DogfighterZen on December 06, 2023, 01:07:00 PMReceived today from BAM models in France, the anniversary special edition of the F-15SG conversion set. This one is for the Revell kit because the sets specific for the Academy kit are not available but i don't think that it's hard to adapt this to any other kit.
Worst case scenario is having to buy a Revell kit to use this on so, no big issue there. ;D

Thanks for posting about this. I was looking for one of those in 1/72 which I see they do so I have bookmarked the site.

I'm sorry to say that Arnaud posted about not doing anymore 1/72 stuff because that didn't sell as expected from the requests he got initially. He was complaining that lots of people asked for the sets in 1/72 but in the end, he never sold much so he discontinued the 1/72 range back in August.
And going by recent news, he's going to be working away from home/workshop starting January so, i believe it will be very difficult to get him to print 1/72 scale stuff again... Maybe if we can round up a good number of people who would commit to buying and ask him for a limited run with that specific number of items... i have no clue but i think it's worth giving it shot.
Anyone else interested?

Yesterday was another 500+km day for me and my mum..took her to see family friends .
Now my mate Tony's uncle died and a while back I posted about all the models I was given ..well its happened again.
Alot of it is Frog from a couple of the boxes ..there's a brand new M557 ONTOS still in box and a second one in bits ...for those folks who don't know what this is ..it's a little 2 man tank armed  with 6 x 106mn recoilless rifles...pretty it ain't. ..was used in the Vietnam War along with the next models .
There's what looks like 2 and a half M42 Duster anti aircraft tanks also Renwall/ Frog .

There's a heap of aircraft..all 1/72nd I think as I don't know for sure what scales Frog did and all the planes are built. .
As for the planes, there's a Walrus ..2 Javelins..a Sea Vixen..a Canberra bomber ..a IS 2  Stmovik..a Hawker Hart... a F86 Sabre..a EnglishElectric Lightning ...a thunder chief i think.. a Mosquito..and in the bottom of the box all these were in is a newspaper..the new Zealand herald..dated October 9th 1961  ;D
There's also two 1/16th scale figures ..a Dragon Signaler Hermann Goering division which is started and I'm gonna finish.
A Tamiya Modern US Army infantryman in desert camo..this brand new and I'm gonna modify him  ;D
A Model Toys Ltd action packs Knights in armour set with 20 figures in it..this might be fun to get better at figure painting.
Now for a car ..scale is no idea..to small for 32nd..possibly 48th but I don't think so ..looks to big driver wise but it's a Mercedes 300SL convertible and that's very cool 😎
On the mail today a Italeri 1/48th F/A 18F Superhornet twin seater .
If it aint broke ,,fix it until it is .

I know the voices in my head ain't real but they do come up with some great ideas.

Oddly enough, or is it something more sinister ?  , we were only talking about this at the London Show last Sunday. I mentioned it was the first large scale armour model I can remember building.

I built one of them too, DECADES ago, it was a Renwall kit I think. And I was so impressed with the 'invisible glue joints' idea I got one of their Slysweeper AA guns afterwards.

I've still got an unbuilt Renwall 8" howitzer in The Loft too!  :o

Do you remember their 'Aeroskin' WWI models too? They were impressive when they were built, but not easy to do at all!

This was another Pre-Order purchase which finally came together & is on its way;

1 x SOL Model 1/35 Military Pin Up Girl - Evelyn Topless (SOL-MM427) - I don't like the errant left hand on this figure, so I'll be removing the lower half & connecting the top half to the lower half of one of the figures below.
2 x SOL Model 1/35 Military Pin Up Girl - Evelyn (SOL-MM426) - one to be done OoB(ish), the other to make the above slightly more modest but, mostly, to fix that hand hanging out awkwardly in space.
1 x AK-Interactive 1/35 Land Rover 88 Series IIA Rover 8 (AK-35012) - Land Rover!
1 x AK-Interactive 1/35 IDF & LAF FJ43 SUV w/Soft Top (AK-35004) - Land Cruiser!
1 x AK-Interactive 1/35 UNIMOG S 404 in Middle East [Limited Edition] (AK-35506) - Mog! (early)
2 x AFV Club 1/35 WWII British Fuel Tank Set (AFV-AF35258) - vehicles need fuel.
1/48 SH-3 Sea King Landing Gear for Hasegawa kits [white metal] (SAC-48202) - for a kit I don't even have, yet.

Some of you may remember that I already have Cora from Sol Model in both topless & clad forms, young Ev is going to be included with the corresponding Cora in suitable dioramas.

Oh it got weird for me to Chris ...bigtime weird ...the very first armour model I ever built was a 32nd Monogram Panzer IV Whirlwind AA tank.
When I got given the first pile of models the very first model my mate handed me was that same kit..and as of the second pile..I now have the original box ..plans and decals  :o

There were a couple on sale at the LMS on Sunday  ;D

Thinking about it, my Ontos was probably the Renwall kit and I built the Skysweeper as well. We obviously grew up in the same era Kit  ;D

I can remember the Aeroskin models, but never had the courage to tackle one.
