This is another vehicle well past its sell by date, and continually being updated to stay in useful service protecting the Uranium mines in central Africa. The original main gun was removed and replaced with a Rarden 30 mm auto cannon, purchased from the U.K, and fitted to 10 M24's during an update which included a newer and more reliable diesel engine, and better armamment.

Cheers, it should have been done last week but I was waiting for the gun barrels to arrive. I am not 100% convinced with the barrels as they are white metal, and very bendy.

Still, the Rarden is a good choice, too.

I am liking those versions O.W. looks like I could be looking for another chaffee kit soon.

M19 was the base vehicle from which the M42 Duster was built on and turned into a far more successful machine.

A duster could be a useful piece of kit, it wouldn't be needed to be used against aircraft, but against vehicles, it could be quite devastating.

I hope your gun crew have fitted the anti-dust measures that we needed for the Rarden in Gulf War I, it can get pretty dusty in Central Africa.

Probably not knowing them, as a lot of the armour is operated by locally employed personel, who didn't really care

The M42 is essentially an improved M19 turret on the M41's lower hull, with a new upper hull in between.

There's an affordable aftermarket resin/white metal conversion set from S&S Models (UK) for late Danish M41s in 1:72.

Makes me wonder what sort of price differences there are for that Bulldog Chris when you consider how cheap the ol Tamiya 35th one is ..I scored a brand new one here for $22nz ...and that's a complete kit 👌
