My niece has a Chihuahua/Jack Russel cross and you wouldn't want to meet that in a dark alley after it's had a couple of drinks    Her Great Dane if not terrified of it certainly treats it with respect

They do feel it, spoil him for a bit, probably just feeling lonely.

We open our homes and our hearts to our 4 legged friends and it always rip your heart out when their time is up and they leave us. And yet many of us willingly go through it all again and again.

Its called small dog syndrome. Small pooch. Big attitude.
And its amplified by a factor of at least 100 in Jack Russells like our Toby.

He maybe pint sized and a pensioner at 15. but he still thinks he can take on a Rottie and win.

The late Mrs_PR19 and I had a Jack Russell, actually JANE Russell, and she only had 3 legs, but that didn't stop her at all. She had ambitions to pick up EVERY tree in the Forest of Dean in her mouth, no matter how big it was!

Interesting choice, 18 Group Coastal Command never flew the Jaguar in the maritime strike role their preferred choice was the Hawk.
