Well, so that you can build models! Wouldn't go out of the way to get one of these, but if I see one in my travels, it just might get snapped up. Looks like a bit of fun.

I have one of those. It's useful for modeling: it's much lighter than a normal drill.
On mine, the spring that pushes the trigger out is not strong enough so the trigger tends to stick.

I was seriously looking at getting one of those mini drills ..then I saw the price and went "nope" .
I'll stick with my pin vices .
If it aint broke ,,fix it until it is .
Over kill is often very understated .
I know the voices in my head ain't real but they do come up with some great ideas.
Theres few of lifes problems that can't be solved with the proper application of a high explosive projectile .

That actually could be handy. The pin vise can be too slow especially when drilling many holes and the dremel spins too fast and melts the plastic. A small variable speed would be nice.

I am having good results with a battery screwdriver and a 3-jaw chuck attachment:

But I have seen them for cheaper.

Yes Sir I can respect that ..a issue I'm sure I've got developing in two of my fingers on my left hand .

Great idea!
I have an electric screw driver but the mini chuck would be perfect.

I have an ancient 12 volt drill.  It gets connected to a 00 gauge railway variable transformer and still (after 55 years) does the job adequately.

As to the  question  "Why build a model?"   I have three possible answers:-

A) because it's there

B) because it's fun

C)  can anyone offer me a good reason why not?

Or any combination of the above.
I like the way you think, Sir!   ;D

PR19_Kit

D) Because the wings are too short.  ;D
Kit's Rule 1 ) Any aircraft can be improved by fitting longer wings, and/or a longer fuselage
Kit's Rule 2) The backstory can always be changed to suit the model

...and I'm not a closeted 'Take That' fan, I'm a REAL fan! :)

Kit

Good score, Phill - as I've said before, "One persons' junk..."
