The kit resembles lego parts with no paint or glue required but as this is a London Black cab there's room for interior detailing even though stickers are provided. The general assembly is very straightforward. I advise the boot/trunk lid to be added after the glazing is done. On my example there's some scratches to the roof. Of course this piece could be removed and a glass roof as fitted to the other models in the Real World or as an option.
Converting to lefthand drive is possible but would require a lot of work maybe Airfix could consider this for a future model.
I haven't used any of the stickers provided in the kit as I intend to modify it and add decals.
There's no detailing in the engine bay  and the doors don't open. I can pick out the brake lights and indicators with acrylic paint.
The taxi I drove for Saint Dunstans Charity for the War Blind was silver, this would mean creating my own decals an option at a future date.
I know that the van version was proposed to Royal Mail but they bought the Peugeot electric vans so that's another build for another day, then there's the campervan. Parts from the Revell kits could be copied or altered to fit
The Police stickers I used for my Daytona Transporter would be my first choice, I shall be buying some white primer next year.

Scratches on the roof

Certainly looks the part. All it needs for completeness is the surly looking driver  ;D
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Thanks,  the seats could do with cushions and in the rear the customary yellow on the head restraints. Indicators and steering wheel need to be picked out as well.
Having sat in RW version the cabin isn't that larger than the Austin TX1, so if the driver is 5 feet 10 inches it's ideal, if you are taller then a different seat is required. Cost is still an issue for most cabbies.

Had a couple of mates who did the "Knowledge" many, many years ago. Once they'd passed it was one of the best livings in London for a working class lad.

Many cabbies have asked me for directions when I was driving the Saint Dunstans' silver TX1 taxi, it was a private vehicle so no taxi signs or fare meter. It did have a jump seat at the front and wheelchair ramp with a swivel seat. The Chairman of the London Taxi drivers was a member of the charity committee.
It wasn't economical on the diesel around London having the 2.8 injection engine, range 189 miles top speed 97mph.
The LEVC does 88mph, extended range 340 miles, with 80 miles on electric RW is 60 miles in winter.

The conversion build for a pick-up/ute is underway. The deck has been glued in place.

The rear passenger doors have been filled in,  what was the door pillars are now stiffeners.
I've always felt that if the rear seats were moved forward, there would be a bigger boot/trunk. I will try and create this idea with another model.
