Quote from: jcf on January 01, 2024, 11:25:35 AMRevell didn't "take over", Revell and Monogram were merged by the corp. that owned both companies. Revell operations were closed and everything was moved to Monogram facilities in Illinois. Revell was chosen as the merged business name because of better international name brand recognition, but the new company was Monogram in all but name.

Mere historical details Jon.  If your name's over the door then in the eyes of the model buying public you've taken over.   ;)

Another ill conceived, lazily thought out, crudely executed and badly painted piece of half arsed what-if modelling muppetry from zenrat industries.

Quote from: NARSES2 on January 01, 2024, 07:02:37 AMCould well get another Ar -240 although I need to check what version I have in the stash.

I'm fairly certain that it was seeing this in Beatties in Holborn back in the day that got me back into the hobby. So it holds a special place for me.

Checked stash and guess what ? I have the nightfighter version and two of the standard fighter version, albeit it in a single box. Probably don't need another

Who are you, and what have you done with Chris?  ;)

Well....? I suppose it would help keep the workers employed ?  ;)

True, true - you have to think of the broader picture - full employment and all that, keeping bread on the family's tables... very altruistic of you, Chris.

Buy the Boeing 747 Ed Force One and put the Iron Maiden tour decals on the BV222

Must admit, some of those HOTD 3-D puzzles sound interesting, as do some of the Tiny Adventures things. The latter sound like 'Book Nooks' i.e. dioramas built into book-shaped boxes that fit on bookshelves. They've been a popular craft thing for a quite a few years now, and some of them are really outstanding. It's a pity there aren't any pictures of them yet.

A few on Britmodeller are asking if the Bv 222 is going to have the Jumo diesels as the promised but not released Bv 222C.

With correctly sized engines this time too. :-)

Hannants have the re-released 1/72 Ar 555 in stock, at what looks like a reasonable price.

Mind you it's a bit cheeky of Revell to splash "New" on the box

It's a new reissue! ;)  ;D . Agreed though it's a very good price for quite a substantial model. I'll be getting a few of these. Hoping they can get around to reissuing the beautiful FW-200 and, Junkers Ju-290 kits at some point.

Has anyone got the repopped Arado Ar 240A?  Apparently it comes complete with the sprues for the Ar 240C.  Would like to have it confirmed before I try to obtain one.

I only have the C variant and neither set of instructions via scalemates have the sprues on them.

That's the fella, but it appears - at least on the sprue shots that the short span A wing are missed out and they only include the longer C wings.  Said wings are on the instructions though.

Pity, I'd like to do a production A with the four blade props and cowls of the C.  At least one flew in that configuration.
