Quote from: zenrat on January 09, 2024, 03:27:39 AMThanks for the suggestions re the flying car.  I'm going to have a proper rummage through the car stash to see what there is that grabs me.

Today I received from a very nice man in New Zealand a 1/9 Revell Triumph Twin Drag Bike.

Thank you my friend.

Welcome matey  ;D
If it aint broke ,,fix it until it is .
Over kill is often very understated .
I know the voices in my head ain't real but they do come up with some great ideas.
Theres few of lifes problems that can't be solved with the proper application of a high explosive projectile .

Got two identical kits of the old revell B17f  ( 4402 )  , try to build something very new with it . Those kits have very fine rivets , so I try to build a new structure with the original replacement parts of the second kit to keep the details ...

Easy to find them here in germany, not expensive

Well it was the first trip to Auckland this yr to send the day with me mum and visit a couple of model shops .
But before that ..which was yesterday I brought a couple of things..one being a new cheap air brush for large area spraying and a pack of new needles with 3 sizes.. a .2 a .3 and a .5mm set.
Then a scored a Hobbyboss 1:35 Gct 155Mm Au-F1 SPH Basedon T-72 Tank..on special..20 notes less than normal and that's coming from Australia land 😀
From my fav NSLHS 😍 had another what I'm now going to call a detritus score.
Because detritus is what most of this stuff is..it's all this random crap from a collection of rail stuff and I'm not going to describe it all cause it's just bits and bobs ..what was really great tho was the tools I got ..over 30 binder clamps ..11 Xacto hand saw blades and 2 handles ..9 of the blades are brand new  ut without a packet ..multiple tweezers..billet steel chunks and a very high grade pair of ring bending pilers ..brilliant for making rings or hoops or just putting a smooth bend in wire.
Also 5 self adhesive lead wheel weights strips ..super handy nose weights 👍

The trick is finding that Someone Else - or being in the right place at the right time!

Good score, Phill.

Junk is only stuff that hasn't found a new purpose yet!

Just arrived today a set of decals from DXM decals. JASDF F-4EJ Kai in 1/72 scale. A company from Taiwan I had not heard of before. Printed by Cartograf and looking very good. See the Viggen + F-104 build.

The Revell 1/144 Antonov AN-124 is available again. Long overdue reissue. Bad news for the ebay scalpers but, I can live with that! ;D  . Finally, I might actually get to build my Antonov/Airbus A-450! I've already got the R R Trent engines salvaged from the Revell A-380. Not decided yet on a T-tail or, V-tail. Probably the latter because it scores higher on the Thatlookscoolometer scale! Also scored a Heller 1/72 SAAB Draken (at a very sensible price) which arrived yesterday!

My wonderful partner also added to my stash over Christmas to the tune of the Revell 1/32 Bf-110C and, Special Hobby Sunderland III but, I suppose technically that's Stash 2023?
Hates rivet counters! Eats JMNs for breakfast!

Delivered from Kingkit in a good strong box. Ordered on Friday evening, sent out on Monday and arrived yesterday.
They use pages from old aviation books as packaging

1/72 Hasegawa Jaguar T.2
With a Beatties price sticker

I have an idea for this as the RAF main trainer into the 1970s. Red and white scheme.

The Wooksta!

If you're at Bolton, I'll bring down a 144th Su 37 if you want to finish it off.

not exactly a stash "improvement" but a good addition non the less, a load of decals for sea harrier FRS-1's, from our very kind member Accidental Loggie. Theres enough to do all my Crusaders roundel wise and some individual markings to suit too. Also arrived from Hannant's today, 4 Pitot tubes to fit them as the one on the one I am currently building went PING!!
